To help you maximize our service and prepare for the upcoming holidays, we are giving you the list of official holidays this year. We will, of course, still inform you whenever a holiday is coming up. This is just to let you know when to expect them this year. This will help us plan ahead and make sure all your projects and tasks go without a hitch.

So here goes:

How will it go?

Whenever a holiday is coming up, we will remind you the week before. We will aim to finish all pending tasks and projects before the holiday. You can talk to your virtual assistant to prioritize the more urgent ones too and which ones we need to complete before we take off.

If you think you’ll need your VA to work on the holiday, just get in touch with us so that we can make a special arrangement for you.

As always, feel free to contact us anytime you have any questions or concerns. We’re always happy to hear from you!

Thanks for this helpful information, Nikki! It will be interesting to see if Noynoy declares as many new holidays as GMA seemed to be so fond of doing.

You’re welcome! I know, the Filipinos have enjoyed more long weekends since GMA became president. It’s a bit challenging for us with foreign clients though. 🙂 Let’s see how it goes …

Embarassing as it may sound, but I still get confused with the holidays here in the Philippines. Yes, we have had a lot of special holidays during GMA’s time and as far as I can remember, holidays that fall in the middle of the week (ex: the holiday falls on a wednesday or thursday),is automatically moved to a Monday so that employees will have a longer relaxing time. Though this may sound good, the essence of the commemoration for a certain holiday loses its value because it is being moved to another day, thus confusing the exact dates of that particular holiday. There is a good reason why holidays should stick with their original dates because it serves as a way of remembering of what happened on that very day several years before we all came.
