Dove collected around 5,000 images with the help of GettyImages.com and digital photo company Girlgaze. The campaign showcased more than one hundred women in almost forty countries. It also includes subjects who are plus-size, women with skin conditions, diverse women and transexuals.

Dove Marketing Director Amy Stepanian said, “The purpose of collaboration with Getty Images was to grant all companies access to the photographs for their own marketing and social campaigns. Dove and Unilever will begin using the inclusive imagery across all their products and in campaigns later this year. We want to provide a touch point for these images to be seen and used everywhere. It’s the only way we see change happening.”

The campaign was launched to break stereotypes of how beautiful women should look. Dove has posted some of the images on their official Facebook account which has 28 million followers.
